Helle has previously worked at different gyms in Oslo, like ELIXIA, Studio Day, and Pilates Studio, before she started Smart Trening in 2009. In 2012, she became a fitness expert in VG, Norway’s biggest newspaper, and wrote a weekly column for several years before moving on to other projects. In 2014, she published, in collaboration with Schibsted Publishing House, the book “Smart Mamma” [Smart Mother], a book for pregnant and new mothers. Later the same year, she published “Tren Smartere” [Train Smarter], written in collaboration with the high-profile names Tone Damli, Sigrid Bonde Tusvik, and Vår Staude. In 2015, she released her first 30-day training course on a mobile platform.
As of today, she is prioritising writing and leading Smart Trening, along with four instructors associated with the studio. She also spends her time guiding and inspiring people internationally through the website “Helle’s World”.
Helle also gives lectures or organises events upon request. She is regularly in the media, and has appeared on, amongst others, God Morgen Norge [a morning talk show], debate programs on NRK [the Norwegian Broadcasting Company], and regularly appears in women’s magazines such as KK. Her customers include public personas such as Hanne Sørvaag, Tone Damli, Camilla Phil, Sigrid Bonde Tusvik, Live Nelvik, Christian Ingebrigtsen, and Heidi Gjermundsen Broch. She has two children.
Movement has fascinated Helle Luxe ever since she was a child. She started playing football in primary school, and played actively for 8 years. She then went on to studying dance at Rud Upper Secondary school, and then at Millennium Dance 2000, at the Millennium Performing Arts, in London. Since then, she has qualified as a personal trainer at the Norwegian School of Sport Sciences, where she also trained in yoga and nutrition. Additionally, she has lengthy training in the Pilates system, and has attended multiple courses such as BOSU, Gyria (kettle bells), and climbing. The last few years she has taken several Movement courses at Ido Portal. Helle also has a bachelor’s degree in Social Anthropology with an additional focus on Psychology from the University of Oslo.
